Dhillon was appointed as the interim CEO of Aviva Canada last month, and the ‘interim’ tag is officially removed as of Aug. 1, assuming regulatory approval. He succeeds Tracy Garrad, who returned to the U.K., where her family lives. Prior to Dhillon’s interim appointment in June, Garrad had been CEO of Aviva Canada for two years. Dhillon will report to Aviva Group CEO Amanda Blanc and become a member of Aviva’s Group Executive Committee. I’m confident he is the right leader to guide our excellent Canadian business to its full potential.” Nav joined Aviva Canada in December 2022 as chief financial officer. Before joining Aviva, he held senior leadership positions at RSA Canada Group, as well as Intact Financial Corporation, and played a key role in building EY’s insurance advisory practice across North America and Europe.
